Founded in 1911, Busoga College Mwiri has provided quality, holistic education to the sons of this nation for nearly a century and is determined to continue this endeavor. Busoga College Mwiri is no doubt out of the best and most popular boys' boarding schools in Uganda. It is big in size and is.
     
The school is also blessed to have distinguished alumni and in all academic disciplines spread all over the world. What makes Mwiri unique from other schools is the fact that the founding fathers designed the school excellently.
The learning environment is enhanced by several factors. Among them, the mission of the school. 'To produce reliable dependable and resourceful citizens in the service of God and humanity.'

The school has stood against all odds to provide instructions and education to the students. For this reasons Mwiri produces men and results. Students at Mwiri "catch" correct values, beliefs and attitudes to life as they learn appropriate skills to break into the ever-changing world of trials and tribulations. Our students come from all parts of Uganda and from various social classes. Fortunately, this diversity has been managed well by the students. Our students never look at their background; their interactions are defined along what they can do better than each other.
       
The school has one of the best professional and highly motivated staff. The lifeblood of the school- the teachers are devoted with a sense of self-drive which has enabled them to surmount problems, hardships and accidents to keep the academic standards of the school high.
