The Private Sector Foundation Uganda
The P.S.F.U. is Uganda’s umbrella private sector body comprised of 71 business associations and corporate members including the major public sector agencies that are supporting the growth of the private sector.
The P.S.F.U. is now a fully fledged private sector body and through their fast growing membership and expanding service, they have become an important part of Uganda’s development process. P.S.F.U. has increased its work to cover many private sector growth initiatives including the acclaimed Business Uganda Development Schemes-BUDS using funding from a variety of sources.
P.S.F.U. is dedicated to promoting a business climate and culture that can attract international investment, and support Uganda’s growth through a more competitive participation in domestic, regional and wider international markets.More at

National Council for Higher Education (NCHE)
The council was established by the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act of 2001, to regulate the provision and management of higher Education.
The Major functions of the Council are:
-To register, license and accredit all public and private tertiary education
institutions
-To set standards and regulate the equation and recognition of higher education qualifications
-To ensure the availability of adequate and suitable physical and educational facilities for students and members of staff in all tertiary institutions
-To set minimum standards for the admission of students to tertiary education institutions and for courses of study
-To work with stakeholders to evaluate manpower requirements and take appropriate
action
-To document analyze and publish information relating to higher education
-To monitor, evaluate and regulate tertiary education institutions
-To investigate complaints relating to tertiary education institutions and take
appropriate action
-To promote national interest in the provision, regulation and development of higher education
-To advise government on policy and other matters relating to the provision and
development of higher education.
